LUCIE, Fla. LAHAINA, Hawaii -- The Lahaina Civic Center sits on a hill above Honoapiilani Highway in western Maui, barely visible among the tropical trees and police station. The outside of the building is nondescript even up close, looking more like a school auditorium than a basketball arena. Same thing on the inside, with its upstairs, YMCA-style lockers and cage-like windows overlooking the court.Yet every November, the Lahaina Civic Center transforms into something else: one of college basketballs most raucous venues. Its like a high school gym being there, Tennessee coach Rick Barnes said Sunday, the eve of the Maui Invitational. The noise is loud, people are close to you. I think its neat. This time of year you want to play in front of an excited crowd, an arena where everything is close. Theres just so much you can gain from an experience like this and in a building like that. Theres really nothing like it.The Maui Invitational has become the top in-season tournament on the college basketball schedule, annually luring some of the best teams from across the country to the second-largest island in the Hawaiian chain. This years eight-team field has combined for 14 national championships and 40 Final Fours, and three teams are ranked in the top 10 of The Associated Press poll : No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 North Carolina and No. 9 Wisconsin. The three-day tournament, which starts Monday, also includes Tennessee, Oklahoma State, UConn, Georgetown and host Chaminade. At the center of this basketball-topia is the 2,400-seat Lahaina Civic Center.Built in 1972, the building is used as a public civic center 50 weeks out of the year, hosting high school basketball leagues, volleyball games, karate practices and community events. The two weeks of the Maui Invitational brings some changes to the civic center -- signs and banners, TV lights, cushioned chairs in front of the bleachers -- but its still nowhere near matching the massive, modern arenas found across the rest of college basketball. It didnt even have air conditioning until the 2005 tournament -- after North Carolina coach Roy Williams complained about condensation on the floor. Its hard to adapt an old building with such character into a 2016 basketball arena that everyones used to, said Mark Starsiak, director of events for KemperLesnik, which operates the Maui Innvitational. Custom Nashville Predators Jersey/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal">. I tell teams every year: `Its the most unique experience youll have walking from the locker room all season. If you have any questions, Ill try to answer them.Calling the Lahaina Civic Center quirky is like saying basketball players are tall. The court, outside of the massive Maui Invitational logo at midcourt, is like a high school hardwood, with volleyball court and vertical basketball lines crisscrossing the court. The seats are like something out of Hoosiers, old bleachers that are practically on top of the court and only go up a dozen-or-so rows. The locker rooms are unlike anything in college basketball. Those are on the second floor, up a narrow stairwell that leads to a common area with taekwondo and wrestling lines on the floor, with nothing but a black curtain separating the teams. The common room also has cage-like windows that overlook the floor, though the view has been obscured a bit with the massive Hawaiian-themed banner at the west side of the arena. The lockers are the old, metal bring-your-own variety, with four concrete chairs, a single whiteboard and showers that dont always work.Because of the small confines, teams waiting for the next game have to set up in the common area and often can be seen at the bottom of the stairwells as the previous game is about to end.Leave your strategy for the hotel because your opponent is right through there, Starsiak said, pointing at the black curtain. Anything you say can and will be used against you on the court. With all the pampering teams and players usually get, it might seem like the civic centers inconveniences would be a drawback.Instead, the quirkiness and quaintness adds to the charm of the building and the tournament, often making the players feel like theyre back in high school. And because of the venues size, the noise and atmosphere inside the Lahaina Civic Center is like nothing else in college basketball. The environments great, Georgetown coach John Thompson III said. The fans are right on top of you, you feel the emotion of the fans the whole time. Much like this entire tournament, the game is a unique experience.---For more AP college basketball: Cheap NFL Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap Jerseys From China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Wholesale Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> NFL Cheap Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> ' ' '

Cheap Swingman Raptors Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> .By stunning Michigan 14-13 on Saturday, the Hawkeyes made it possible for a two-loss team to represent the powerful East division in the conference championship game -- and for the once-unthinkable prospect of a playoff without the Big Ten.It can no longer be assumed that the annual rivalry game between the Wolverines (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) and Ohio State (9-1, 6-1) will determine the leagues playoff representative.Thats because Penn State (8-2, 6-1), which beat the Buckeyes two weeks ago, has joined Michigan and Ohio State atop the East.If Michigan wins out, including beating Ohio State in regular-season finale in two weeks, the Wolverines move on to the Big Ten title game. If Ohio State and Penn State win out, the Nittany Lions would win the East, leaving the Buckeyes out of a chance to win the conference title while likely being the Big Tens highest ranked team.A loss by Penn State to either Rutgers or Michigan State in the next two weeks is what Ohio State needs to regain control of the East. That seems unlikely, but so was the idea of Iowa (6-4, 4-3), a 24-point underdog, finding itself it time to stun Big Blue.Give Iowa credit. They tackled. They blocked. They played a very good football game. So, congratulate them and we move on, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said.Thats exactly what Michigan needs to do, because if it wins out, it should be in the playoffs. But the Wolverines resume still took a hit on Saturday.Overshadowed by all of its big wins was the fact that Michigan didnt have a single significant road win. Michigan State and Rutgers, the only teams Michigan had beaten away from Ann Arbor, had yet to win a Big Ten game until the Spartans throttled the Scarlet Knights on Saturday. On a windy and chilly night in Iowa City, the Wolverines wilted. The nations top-ranked scoring defense allowed Iowa to score a touchdown on fourth down on a perfectly timed screen pass.On the biggest play from scrimmage, it let Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard run for a first down that set up the game-winning kick -- after a facemask that gave Iowa 15 free yards.Michigans offense, which had scored 49 points against Penn State, 78 against Rutgers and 59 against Maryland, gained just 201 yards. Wilton Speight missed a litany of deep balls, going just 11 of 26 passing and throwing a pick to true freshman Manny Rugamba late in the fourth quarter.Theres absolutely no excuse. Weve got to be a lot better than we (were Saturday), tight end Jake Butt said.Iowas performance kept it alive in the West race, though just barely.Wisconsin (8-2, 5-2), by virtue of its win over Nebraska (8-2, 5-2), is in position to face whatever team the East sends to Indianapolis for the title game. The Badgers might also be in position to steal a playoff spot, should they win out and see more upsets like the ones that occured on Saturday further shake up the postseason picture. But Iowa answered for one of its worst losses in years, a 41-14 wipeout at Penn State, with a win that was more about culture than talent.Youve only got two options. You surrender and mope and feel sorry for yourself, or you do something about it, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said. Dont think that we werent thinking about that on Saturday night coming home. Its not about the buildings. Its relationships you build with people over a period of time. A lot of people that still work here at Florida that Im very close with and always will be. The loss snapped South Carolinas three-game winning streak.Freshman quarterback Jake Bentley, who played so well in those victories, struggled in his first road start. Bentley completed 18 of 33 passes for 213 yards, with an interception and a fumble.Appleby was slightly more efficient. The former Purdue starter, filling in for injured Luke Del Rio, was 17-of-21 passing for 201 yards. He threw an interception in the third quarter and fumbled a snap, committing two of the teams three turnovers. We could have had 40 points out there if we played the way we are capable of, Appleby said. We will get it fixed.THE TAKEAWAYSouth Carolina: Although the Gamecocks didnt have much offensive success, its clear Muschamp has some young players to build around. Bentley, running back Rico Dowdle and receiver Bryan Edwards -- all freshmen -- should be a solid nucleus for the next few years.Florida: The Gators have endured their share of injures the last two weeks, losing five defensive starters and four on the offensive side of the ball. Some of them wont be back for next weeks all-important game at LSU, leaving Florida to test its depth on the road.POLL IMPLICATIONSFlorida probably will move up a few spots in the next AP poll, but all that matters now is beating the Tigers and getting back to Atlanta. We know whats at stake, Appleby said. We want to go back to Atlanta, and this is the next step in order to get there. Weve got a lot of guys dinged up. With that said, the next mans up.UP NEXTSouth Carolina: After playing five consecutive games at Williams-Brice Stadium before traveling to Florida, the Gamecocks return home to face Western Carolina next Saturday. South Carolina should become bowl-eligible against the Catamounts, a team from the Football Championship Subdivision.Florida: Plays at LSU next Saturday, a game postponed because of Hurricane Matthew in and later moved from Gainesville to Baton Rouge. The Brazilian goalkeeper signed a loan deal with the Major League Soccer club on Friday as he looks to get playing time ahead of this summers World Cup in his home country. CONCERNING STAT 1: Since the start of the 2013 Ashes, England have converted 24% of their fifties into centuries. All other Test teams combined have a conversion rate of 34.5%; the other six teams ranked in the top seven have converted 37%.Alastair Cook, the erstwhile Honours-Board-Bothering machine, the one-time avaricious hoarder of three-figures scores, has scored only three hundreds in the 38 Tests he has played since the 2013 Ashes began. He has reached the half-century mark 23 times in 70 innings in those games; in the 40 Tests he played before that (from the tour to Bangladesh in 2010 to the end of the New Zealand micro-series earlier in the 2013 summer), he had made 22 fifties in 69 innings, but converted 15 of them into centuries (including six in a row from July 2012 to May 2013, the last five of which were in his early months as captain). So, although he has continued to reach fifty almost once every three innings, his conversion rate has collapsed from the best in Test cricket to the worst. Of the 25 players to have made ten or more fifties in Tests since July 2013, Cooks conversion rate of 13% is the lowest - other than he, only Kaushal Silva (two out of 13) has converted less than a quarter of his fifties into hundreds. In the 2010-2013 period, Cooks 68% conversion was the best of the 40 players with at least ten scores of 50-plus. To give some context to his excellence at that time, the next seven batsmen in the conversion-rate list were Kallis, Dravid, Sangakkara, Clarke, Younis Khan, Chanderpaul and Amla.To add further curiosity to the stats, conversion rates in all Test cricket have risen since July 2013 - excluding Cook, the rate has increased from 28.8% in the 2010-2013 period, to 33.4% since the start of the 2013 Ashes (and, for all other openers, from 27.5% to 35.1%). The England captains conversion stats have been swimming upstream like a randy salmon.Cook was similarly ineffective at converting fifties earlier in his career. After his stellar 2006 entry to the Test arena (five of his first nine fifties were converted into hundreds), in 70 innings between the New Years Ashes Test in 2007 and that 2010 Bangladesh tour, he made 25 fifties, and converted only six, four of which were against the lowly ranked, ineffective West Indies.Just as his fifty rate has remained relatively steady through these three wildly divergent conversion-rate periods in his career, so has his proportion of single-figure dismissals. In fact, his failing-to-trouble-the-tens-column rate was actually higher in his most successful phase. He was out in single figures 14 times in the 2007-2010 period; 19 times in his peak 2010-2013 phase; and 15 times from the 2013 Ashes to now.Cook, it seems, is almost exactly as adept at beginning his innings as he ever was, but he has become (again) vastly less effective at prolonging it. His average since the 2013 Ashes began is a solid 41.5 - very solid for a player playing so few big innings. Many of his non-hundreds have been important innings. However, this is a batsman who used to be one of the toughest to dismiss when set - in the 2010-2013 phase, once he had survived the first 15 overs, it took on average 161 balls to dismiss him, more than any other regular Test batsmen other than Chanderpaul (166 balls per dismissal from over 16 onwards), and his after-the-15th-over average of 81 was comfortably the highest of those who batted more than ten times in that part of Test innings. Since the 2013 Ashes, Cooks figures are down to an average of 49 (25th best of those with ten or more relevant innings), and a dismissal once every 116 balls (seventh best) - still impressive, still adhesive, still valuable to his team, but significantly declined. Is there a reason for this? Perhaps bowlers have become more persistent in challenging his weaknesses. Perhaps the burden of captaincy has fractured the impregnable cocoon in which he used to bat once established, or a decade of Test-match opening has worn down his mental stamina. Perhaps the added pressure of being a prime lynchpin in a more fragile batting line-up has added strain to his batsmanship, and made opponents treasure and target his wicket even more. Perhaps Edward Snowdens disclosure in June 2013 of the covert surveillance programmes of the US government made Cook worry that his batting was being spied on by the CIA; perhaps Croatias accession to the European Union on July 1, 2013 made the Essex man fret about the potential geopolitical impliications of the rapid expansion of the EU in the aftermath of the collapse of the communist bloc. Wholesale Hornets Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal">. We may never know.Cook is the most striking example, but England as a team have struggled to capitalise on their half-centuries. In the 2010-2013 period detailed above, Englands 36% conversion rate was second only to South Africa (41%) of the nine regular Test-playing teams. Without Cook, at 30%, they would still have been third. In the 2013-2016 block, England are eighth in the conversion league, at 24%. With Cooks 3-out-of-23 figure removed, Englands rate is 26%, still eighth in a table led narrowly by Pakistan (42.6%) from South Africa (42.1%).Joe Root has made only one century from his past eight 50-plus scores, having turned eight of his previous 19 half-centuries into tons. Ian Bell, after his momentous, career-defining 2013 Ashes, converted only two of the 11 Test half-centuries he made subsequently into three figures. Recently the entire England team has struggled even to convert three-quarter centuries into centuries. Since the start of last summers home international season, English batsmen have reached 75 in a total of 33 innings. They have converted only 12 of those into centuries (36%). All other Test teams collectively have converted 60% of their 75s into hundreds over the same period. Only West Indies (one out of six) are below 50% at converting 75s into tons. Australia have converted 77% (24 out of 31). All in all, curious and unhelpful from an English perspective. Explanations on a postcard, please, addressed to The ECB, No.1 Cricket Street, Cricketsville, Cricketshire, England. Soon, preferably. By 11am on Friday morning, if you have the time.CONCERNING STAT 2: Since 2006, England have collectively averaged 18% less against left-arm pace than against right-arm pace (28.4 to 34.6). No other team has a such a pronounced comparative weakness against left-arm quicks. (India, oddly, average 45% more against left-arm quicks than against right-arm ones.) Of those who have played a significant quantity of Test cricket, none of Englands current batting line-up, nor any likely potential replacements, has a better record against left-arm seamers than right-arm seamers. Root averages 37.4 against left-arm pacers, 47.6 against right-arm pacers, Bairstow 28.3 to 48.5, Ballance 21.2 to 53.2, Moeen 26.7 to 32.8, Stokes 24.6 to 44.4. Furthermore, Bells figures are 33.6 to 42.0, and Jos Buttlers 23.7 to 40.1.Cook is the closest - 40.4 against left-arm pace, 42.5 against right-arm pace. Even so, he was dismissed by a decent but hardly devilish Rahat Ali delivery in the second innings at Lords, having scored, in effect (after being aided by some rather Kamranakmalian catching) 25 for 3 against Mohammad Amir in the first, which does not suggest that Englands leader is in tip-top flourishing-against-high-quality-left-arm-seamers form.Since the beginning of the 2006 English summer, 20 England players have faced at least 30 overs of pace from both left-armers and right-armers. Only three average more against left-armers - Matt Prior (48.8 to 39.1), Adam Lyth (a not very good 23.2 to an even worse 17.3), and, intriguingly, the recently-departed-from-the-team Nick Compton (54.6 against left-arm seam, the best of the 20 England players involved in this stat; 19.3 against right-arm seam, second worst of any non-specialist bowler who has faced at least 500 balls of right-arm pace since 2006, ahead only of Lahiru Thirimanne [18.4]).Part of the disparity must be due to the fact that England have played several recent Tests against some very good left-arm pacemen, and have faced some less-than-Marshallesque right-armers, but still those are numbers for Pakistan to pin on their bedroom ceilings at night to help them get to sleep. (I assume international cricketers pin statistics to their bedroom ceilings.) (I cannot imagine why they would not.) (I would, if I was an international cricketer.) (I do, and I am not an international cricketer.)Stats, of course, are made to be broken. Or flatly ignored. Or tweaked, or reinterpreted, or counter-statted with another stat. Or used as legal evidence, quiz questions, or chat-up lines. Englands batsmen will need to start declamping these two unwanted numerical albatrosses from around their statistical necks, or this series could become very problematic indeed. Cheap NFL Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap Jerseys From China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Wholesale Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> NFL Cheap Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> ' ' '

To go win this game and get to a bowl game buys us more time, buys us continued momentum. But nothing is going to stop that from growing right now. Theyve seen that and tasted that. Now they know it.Boston College won just three games last season -- only one against an FBS opponent, and none in the ACC. The Eagles won three of their first five games this year -- beating Wagner, Massachusetts and Buffalo -- but continued to struggle in the conference.Despite a 21-14 victory over North Carolina State on Oct. 29 that snapped a 12-game league losing streak, BC lost to Virginia Tech, Clemson, Louisville and Florida State by a combined score of 202-24. So when the Eagles walked away from Saturdays game with a fifth victory and a chance to play in the postseason, it was more than just another win. With a win over Wake Forest on Saturday, BC would be bowl eligible with a 6-6 record. Its a goal you set in the beginning of the year, Addazio said. Its one thats still alive, and its a marker because its a marker for success and then its a marker for growth and development. I think its huge. All college football players, I mean, coaches, everybody, thats what we talk about: Get to a bowl; get to a bowl.Even with a loss, the Eagles could reach the postseason. There are 18 teams still playing for bowl eligibility, with 16 spots available. If fewer than 16 of the five-win teams come up with a sixth this weekend, schools that finish 5-7 will be picked for the remaining bowl berths based on their Academic Progress Rate.BC is fourth among the 18 in APR, behind Northwestern, Vanderbilt and North Texas. In other words, the Eagles have a good chance.Getting back to a bowl game, it would mean a lot to the program, to elevate the program to where it needs to be, linebacker John Johnson said this weekend.Another advantage of reaching a bowl would be the extra weeks of practice that are allowed for teams that are still playing, Addazio said. With his young team, it would be a huge boost to get ready for next year. There is a lot of young football here to mature, he said. Weve got to go fight to buy those weeks. ... The Jets pinned Miamis Jakeem Grant deep on the ensuing kickoff, but Antonio Allen was flagged for offside. On the re-kick, the weary coverage team found itself chasing a fresh Drake , Grants backup. He sped past the final Jet -- kicker Nick Folk -- into the clear.I was trying to remember what my track coach said: to keep those knees up, Drake said.Even his teammates gave chase.Everyone was running down the sideline, Ajayi said. I was trying to beat him to the end zone. I was so excited for him.The Dolphins (4-4) won their third game in a row, while New York (3-6) fell deeper into last place in the AFC East. The Jets hurt themselves with four personal foul penalties, two interceptions thrown by Ryan Fitzpatrick and numerous squandered chances.Fitzpatrick missed four plays midway through the second half because of a left knee injury and wore a brace when he returned. He said hell undergone an MRI exam Monday.Ajayi was hit behind the line on many of his 24 carries but gradually wore down the Jets and had 55 yards in the fourth quarter.Im never going to go away from him, Miami coach Adam Gase said. His job is to keep hammering it.Also impressive with his ball-carrying skills was 335-pound Miami defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who leaped over an opponent during a 17-yard interception return to set up a field goal.Looked like he wanted to be a hurdler, teammate Ndamukong Suh said.Fitzpatrick was intercepted in the end zone by Bobby McCain in the fourth quarter, and missed an open Brandon Marshall in the end zone, forcing New York to settle for a field goal.We had opportunity after opportunity and didnt get it done, Fitzpatrick said. It all falls on the quarterback. Theres a lot of things I could have done better today.Same for the Jets defense -- linebacker Jordan Jenkins dropped a potential interception with nothing but 85 yards of grass in front of him.COSTLY PENALTIESThe Jets were amped up at the start to stop Ajayi -- perhaps too much so.Ajayi lost 3, 1 and 5 yards on his first three carries. But two of the losses were negated by an unnecessary roughness penalty on Buster Skrine, and a taunting penalty on Calvin Pryor. On his fourth carry, Ajayi found a big hole and ran 20 yards for a touchdown to put Miami ahead 7-3.The Jets Sheldon Richardson was flagged for unnecessary roughness twice in the second quarter.ABSENT AT FIRSTJets defensive linemen Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson sat out the first quarter and entered the game at the start of the second period. A team official said their absences at the start werent injury-related, but declined to say whether they were for disciplinary reasons.Coachs decision, coach Todd Bowles said.WHAT FEUD?The feud between Marshall and Byron Maxwell produced a lot of trash-talking, but Marshall managed only 45 yards on six catches. The Jets receiver complained during the week that Maxwell held him on every play in their only previous meeting.INJURIESJets: CB Marcus Williams (ankle) left the game in the first quarter. ... Her previous scoring best was 24 points, which came in the season opener at Tennessee-Martin.At this time last season, Durr was experiencing pain after going through surgery to repair a torn groin muscle. MINNEAPOLIS -- Blair Walshs five seasons in Minnesota were filled with big-time makes and big-time misses. With the skidding Vikings desperate to save their season, they simply couldnt wait for Walsh to pull himself out of another rut. Minnesota cut Walsh on Tuesday, two days after he missed his league-leading fourth extra point in a 26-20 loss to Washington.Walsh was 12 of 16 on field goals and 15 of 19 on extra points in nine games this season. For a team that started 5-0 but has gone 0-4 since and is constructed to play close games, Walshs inconsistency could no longer be tolerated. After he missed an extra point, had a field goal blocked and misplaced a kickoff in a loss to Detroit two weeks ago, the Vikings brought in six kickers for a tryout. They ultimately decided to give Walsh one more chance, but his miss just before halftime against the Redskins sealed his fate. Walsh was in the first year of a four-year, $13 million extension he signed last season , undoubtedly one reason why the Vikings stayed as patient as they could with him.The Vikings reached agreement on a contract with Kai Forbath to take Walshs place, two people with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because an official announcement has not been made. USA Today first reported the move to Forbath, who made 34 of 35 extra points and 10 of 15 field goals last season while kicking for Washington and New Orleans. With Forbath, punter/holder Jeff Locke and long snapper Kevin McDermott, all three of Minnesotas specialists will be UCLA products. The 29-year-old Forbath is 69 for 82 for 84.1 percent in his NFL career on field goals and 124 for 127 for 97.6 percent on extra points.Walsh was an erratic kicker at Georgia when Vikings special teams coordinator Mike Priefer started to scout him. The coach said Walsh had the best performance at the combine he had ever seen from a kicker leading up to the draft in 2012, and the Vikings selected him in the sixth round before releasing reliable veteran Ryan Longwell. After working on some tweaks to his approach with Priefer, Walsh set a Vikings rookkie record with 141 points and established an all-time NFL mark by going 10 for 10 from 50 yards or longer. Nike Air Vapormax/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal">. alsh bounced back to make an NFL-high 34 field goals last season, but he missed four extra points and shanked a 27-yard field goal in the closing seconds of Minnesotas 10-9 loss in the playoffs to Seattle. Despite Walshs public expressions of confidence in his ability since then, even after his rough game against the Lions, he clearly hasnt recovered yet mentally from the crushing miss against the Seahawks that left him sobbing in front of his cubicle in the locker room afterward. One of the few roles in sports without any gray area between success and failure, where sending the ball through the uprights is the only responsibility and the only outcome worth judging, being a kicker in the NFL can be a pressure cooker. At least in his interaction with reporters, Walsh has been more guarded and on edge than any other season with the Vikings. For the Vikings, the setbacks to a season that began with Super Bowl aspirations havent stopped. Neither have their aggressive attempts to stay on track, even if the move away from Walsh mightve come a little late. Walsh will still count more than $1 million against the teams salary cap in each of the next two years. They parted with two high draft picks, including their first-rounder in 2017, to bring in Sam Bradford after quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was lost to a massive injury. They took a flier on injury-waylaid former No. 1 overall draft pick Jake Long, who lasted four games before tearing an Achilles tendon and needing season-ending surgery. The New York State Gaming Commission and the New York Racing Association on Tuesday said the horses will be subject to out-of-competition blood testing for banned substances. They must be at Belmont by June 5 and will have 24-hour monitoring at their trainers own barns and stalls at the track. The commission also wants veterinary records for three days leading to the race. New rules last year angered several trainers, including Doug ONeill. His horse, Ill Have Another, was bidding to become the first Triple Crown winner since 1978. The colt was scratched the day before the Belmont with an injury and retired. Like last year, all equipment, feed and hay bales will be subject to search. Security guards will monitor all treatment by vets. On race day, horses will report at least 45 minutes before race time for testing and be escorted to the paddock. Wholesale NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> .J. -- Marshawn Lynch said Thursday it will be good to get back to football after the Seattle quiet talking running back wrapped up his final mandatory media session of Super Bowl week. NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> . Launched with plenty of fanfare three years ago, the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) has run into some rough weather this season. Financial constraints have forced the tournament to be reduced from five cities to three, and big name players who appeared in previous seasons have not participated this year. In an extensive interview with ESPN on the eve of the final, the founder of the league, former Indian doubles star Mahesh Bhupathi, concedes that this year has been challenging but believes the IPTL will bounce back strongly next season.Have the last three weeks been tough?Doing the production we do in multiple countries is hectic for the entire team. But we are used to it now, it is the third year so two more days to go so happy to be almost through. What has this season been like? Youve obviously had some well-documented challenges..It was just about getting through those challenges and making sure we get through the season. There were a lot of people close to the process who were trying to advise us to suspend season three and do it next year but in sport once you do that, it is difficult to bounce back. In general, we are just happy we kept it afloat. The quality of tennis has been amazing and the final will be great. We will bounce back next year. What were your biggest challenges at the start of the season? You had to remove one city at the start of the season for instance. The biggest problem we had was the owner who owned the Japanese Franchise ran into financial issues and he wasnt able to keep his commitments to us. Obviously for a two-year old league to deal with that kind of hole was difficult and unlike the other big leagues in India we didnt have the muscle power to get the bank guarantees and so on and so forth because we were still in the building phase. When we were about to get through those challenges and some of the current owners were happy to help us get through it, this whole November 8 thing happened (Government announcing demonetisation). Ticket sales have been really upsetting and embarrassing for us in India but it is what it is and like I said we hope to bounce back next year. What have you learned from this? Do you believe the league needs to go to a minimum number of cities for it to be credible? The learning has been that the players loved it, all of them were happy to come back and the ones we requested not to come were upset that they couldnt make it. We dont know the right answer to your question. Ideally from my perspective, the more cities, more matches, more content and more money.Obviously we have to keep in mind the players who have a long season. It is going to evolve. We have to sit down over the next two days and decide if we are going to do three cities in rotation or pick the three biggest markets and have the teams play there. We havent decided that yet.Obviously the IPTL would work a lot better if the star players played. You annouunced Roger Federer and Serena Williams would play and then they pulled out.dddddddddddd Was that a blow because there was an anticipation of these big names travelling to India and suddenly they werent coming?Just to be clear, they didnt pull out. We had to request them not to come. The revenues on this side werent matching the expenses. If we went ahead with it we would have dug ourselves in a big hole and they were very understanding about it. Obviously if Roger was here I am sure we would have probably sold out the stadium. When we announced ticket sales, 15 days into it with Roger and Serenas names on the ticket we sold about 18 Lakhs of tickets. So that wasnt the case, thats why we panicked. One of the things that is often said about the tennis circuit is that it is too long. So what can the IPTL add to an already packed calendar?I think it is the format. A few of the players have said it too that it is always the dream of an athlete to play in a team competition, to play for their team members and to play for the fans. Tennis is a very individual sport and we have created that concept that you belong to a team. If you see the highlights of any of our matches, the intensity from the bench is quite outstanding. I think thats what makes the players want to play and enjoy it. Thats half the battle won. There has been talk outside about payments to players not going through. Is that talk outside or are there real problems at the managerial level?Like I said, we had that challenge with one owner last year and we were in a financial hole. We ended up paying all the players probably seven month late last year and we paid them all with interest. Yes, there were late payments but my job having been a player and a colleague to most of them, they know that I am never going to stiff them and the fact that they all came back was testimony to that. How do you respond to criticism that sometimes these tournaments are a little bit of an exhibition, that what you are seeing out there is not really a fully intense competition that you would see on the circuit? That is an opinion. You will see in the final the intensity and how badly both the teams want to win. I think special events have a place in tennis. The Hopman cup has been there for 20 plus years, the world team cup in Dusseldorf was there for 15 years and tennis needs to evolve. The current format has no room for movement because of the way it is structured, it is owned half by the players and half by the tournaments so theres never going to be change. We are able to experiment a lot, by playing no lets, shorter points and shorter format. It is made for TV and content made for TV is what will sell over time.So you are confident that the IPTL will be back in 2017 bigger and better?I am feeling pretty good about it. Cheap NFL Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap Jerseys From China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Wholesale Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> Cheap NFL Jerseys China/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> NFL Cheap Jerseys/>imsun; font-size:medium; line-height:normal"> ' ' '
